Default Comp Cams High Energy 268H Vacume?

Comp Cams High Energy 268H with 1.6 rockers, runs great but head lights very sluggish and now have a leaking oil pan.

Is the high energy the same as the xe?

My xe268 with 1.6 rockers has 12-13" vacuum if memory serves me. My headlights aren't the swiftest things in the world either.

Xe is a different grind. That cam should get you enough vacuum though. Are the lights slow at all rpms? If idle only, I would not only look for vaccuum leaks but also do a good tune. May want to apply a vacuum to the actuator with a hand vaccum pump and check them out for faults.

going up is not too bad but going down is nearly imposable with out moving the car. If I drive about a kilometer at say 20 mph they finally go down. All the vacuum parts only have a 1,000 miles on them and everything was fine till the 1.6 rockers were added. As far as tune the engine only has 1,000 miles on it.

My CC 268H hyd flat tappet idles at 650 rpm with close to 17" of vacuum - after tuning the BG Mighty Demon 650 carb. At 1000rpm it pulls over 20". Maybe you have a rocker adjusted a little too tight and a valve is not closing 100%? Also, check every vacuum line/connection to make sure you put everything back on securely.

Vacuum leakie...They cam should pull plenty of vacuum or at least store enough in the tank. Look for leaks.

I have the same set up. No vacuum issues or oil leaks. Maybe you have a vacuum leak.

OK found the problem the vacuum system filter was blocked. Blew it out and that seamed to do the trick. Today i ordered a replacement filter.
Thanks all........
