Call Al Knoch. They sell a DVD showing Al taking off an old top and putting a new one back on. I think the DVD is about $25.
I have the DVD and have watched it once. Looks pretty good and has all the info you need. Although it's not all that complicated, I figure I'll have to watch it several times to feel comfortable with the top removal/installation. You only need normal tools, the exception being you need a "professional" stapler.
They also have a DVD showing how to install seat covers. I've got that one also, but haven't watched it yet.
