Help and frame for sale
I was driving my 74 L48 on Saturday and it started to cut out while driving, I lost my radio, but it just seemed out of gas. I got the station filled it up and it was still running rough and cutting out. I finally got it running good enough to get it home. Once home and further inspection, the only way it will run is if I constantly pump the gas. I think the radio is just a day of bad luck... My first best guess is there is something in the tank or line but after pumping the gas and keeping it running I think it might be the accelerator pump in the old quadrajunk. Any ideas?????
I found a frame for a 74 for sale yesterday it is a roller complete with rear end. All sanded and painted and looks good, mine is solid so I don't need it. $1500 was the price.

The fuel is pulled in by a vaccum and dosent really have anything to do with the AP. Maybe stuck float?.
It did it before the fill up so I would rule that out..
Did the radio go out then it happened?. Could have lost a cylinder.. Plug wire burned up on manifold and arc'd???
Bad fuel pump..Doubt it was anything in the tank. Maybe water but that would have cleared up..

In the course of events I feel like the radio and engine started to miss at different times yet very close together. The plug wire idea is a good one???? I will check it when I get back from Moab...
