Default Timing chain and gear set

Hey all, after taking my cam out, i found that my timing chain is way stretched (no surprise there) and am wondering what i should replace it with, I am going for the double roller. Has anyone had any experience with any specific sets? i was wondering about the Maximum Advance/Retard and what i should choose. I am replacing my cam with a Lunati. Thanks all,
Steve

Cloyes makes some good ones, as do most of the cam companies (Lunati included). Unless you are planning to change cam timing (not much need in a street car), I'd just go with a standard double roller set.

Ive got a cloyes double roller, as far as timing chains go and what they are supposed to do I guess its doing just fine, comp has some good stuff too. As for adv. vs retard, just run it strait up and mess with the dist for timing.

I use a regular cheap 3 position $25 Cloyes (not even the *true roller*) in my 540 with solid roller, killer springs and 7500 rpm. Works fine, no issues. Has been there a long time.

There is LOTS of hype in the timing chain business. Stick with good basic cloyes and spend your money somewhere that will make a differnence.
