Default Roll cage advise needed - racers... help!

I am trying to install an 8 point cage from JEGS in my '72. The hoop needs to go on the floor behind the seats but the seat tracks are there. Can anyone show me where you mounted the hoop? What is the best way to attach the mounting plates to the frame? I know welding but what is the best way to get through the floor to the frame? I will need to be able to pass tech (NHRA) so I need to get it right. I am also having trouble finding where I saw the rules on cages posted from NHRA. Pictures would be great!
Thanks,
Scooter_boy

I'm still having a time with it... If the bar is going to mount on the floor, the seat track bolts in the corner of the floor where it looks like the bar would have to mount. I saw one bar with the hoop sliced diagonally and mounted to the almost vertical area at the back of the seat where the frame turns up to the package shelf. I also saw some where the hoop mounts in the package tray not down in the floor area. After I lightened up the pictures of GrandSport's it looks like his is on the floor there but it's still hard to tell. I really wanted the hoop bar to go from the bottom of the seat all the way over. Has anyone else mounted their's in that location succesfully?

Yes, my main hoop mounts on the floor. The reason for mounting it there was convertible top clearance. The rear bars have to be 30 degrees from the main hoop and if the main hoop would've started on the upper frame (the one that goes to the back of the car), I would've lost the ability to use the convertible top on the car. Right now, I can either use the convertible top or hard top. Most cages for convertible C3's will not allow the operation of a convertible top. Mine does..
