Jacking point under the front end, ..Where?





In the rear I use a pice of 2x4 or 4x4 atop the jack and then position the jack under the differential. I then place jack stands under the frame right in front of the rear wheels.
I usualy go under the A-arms if the frame spot would be a problem, this means the car will not be as high though.
I have used large chunks of wood under the wheels. These were sections of RR ties with cleats to box the wheels. These were heavy and a pain.

I put the jackstands under the frame, in front of the control arms, behind the sway bar brackets. But I guess for this job I'd just put the car on ramps--I'd jack up the car and put the ramps backwards, so that they are out of the way.
