Default 1972 Water Pump

I took my water pump off with all the pullys, alt and misc stuff to get ready to clean up the frame, for the rebuild.

Now that the water pump is off I might as well put a new one on, or rebuild the old, so here is the issue.

The date code seems right for the build date of 2/72, the code is A122. But the casting date is not even close from the tech manual. It says casting# 3991399 up to vin of 20K and 330813 for the rest.

I'm at about 14.5K and from what I see the casting # is 8881388. Well now after looking at what I typed , it could be the right# and I am just not seeing it right, I guess I better go look again.

OK I'm a dumb *** again, I don't know why I didn't see the numbers when they were on the paper together, but it is the original water pump and numbers.

So, is there any one else to look at for rebuilding. I have the number for Arthur Gould Rebuilders, but always like to check with a couple people, you know Im just cheap.

Thanks

I would recommend contacting Kanter Auto in Boonton, NJ. (kanter.com) They rebuilt the pump for my 72 about 8 years ago. Don't recall the exact price, but I remember it was reasonable. They warranted it for life.
