So I was reading the Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide by Lindsay Porter and I came across an interesting passage (good read by the way)-
"On models from 1968 to 1975 the valve includes a pressure switch which illuminates a warning light if hydraulic pressure drops in either the front or rear brake circuits"
What years did this really exist for? Or have I not yet found it yet in my 69...lol... which I guess would be a good thing...?
Thanks

Light is in the cockpit. Same "BRAKE" light that you get if you leave your parking brake up. Mine acted up when I first bought the car and sure enough, it was right. I found some air in the left rear caliper and a little bleeding cured the problem. The switch works by differential pressure and if one side has any air, it will allow compression so the pressure will lag behind the firm side and trip the switch.
Gotcha... I was going to guess it was that light too.. only a few months ago my pedal went all the way to the floor and I had to pump it up to stop... luckily I wasn't going very fast. I took it to the shop and sure enough one of the circuits was bad in the M/C... but the light never came on. I guess I have a bad switch and or connection somewhere... I'll trouble shoot it. Thanks for all the help
