Swapping T56 into C3??

Are there clearance problems...
Crossmember needs?
I have the clutch setup everything put together ready to go...
Have the Fbody hydraulic slave, is there an aftermarket bracket I can use to use this? Had to make on for the car its on now.
Any other issues you guys can think of before I do a trade?
Im guessing if the car was an auto the shifter may fit (T56 comes out more of the center). If it was a stick car I wold have to switch consoles or modify my shifter?
Also-Rearend...I havent had a C3 for many years. Were there more than one offered, what about strength?
Im running a pretty rowdy solid roller small block. I know the C3 isnt the greatest for "drag racing" so to speak. It may see the track maybe once or twice a year, rest of the time "playing".

Don't know about the F-body bracket. Some swaps use mechanical linkage and others use hydraulic. Depends on what year F-body you are talking about. At least 1 person has used a 1-ton truck clutch MC with a T56 and he said it worked OK.
The console will have to be modified or you will have to buy an expensive offset shifter (or fabricate one). My son and I are working on a custom console plate for the 72 and if it works out we might be able to duplicate it.
Your speedometer might need to be changed or need a new sending unit depending on the year of C3 that you end up with.
As long as you don't run slicks you should be OK with the differential on a C3. People get into trouble when they combine high HP with slicks on a stock rear suspension setup. Half-shafts and U-joints tend to twist and shatter when slicks are used on the dragstrip.
