With the dished pistons and Chevy's errant quality of the time, it gave you about a 7.5-8.2-1 CR = WEAK
Then they doubled down and cut so much iron out of the heads to save weight that most speed shops won't port/mill them for fear of cracking them
Only real choice is to go aftermarket
