Yeah...that blue with the 16's looks good. The trouble with 16's is that you might have trouble getting the tires you want. I think they are getting rare. Everything is getting bigger and bigger.

I just purchased my 16" TT II,
not on the car yet but my rolling frame is looking pretty sharp !
I too like the 16" and the look i am running 235 x 16 x 60
I wanted to make sure these would fit when I but the body back on !

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but where did you get that hood? Did you make it? I've never seen one like it and it's very close to an idea I had in mind for my '68. TIA

Funny, I was thinking the same thing... very cool hood.
Been watching the thread and taking notes. What is everybody's opinion on the TT2's verses the TT Chrome. 1 Piece verses 2 piece. I like the look of both, but which one is the easiest to take care of?
I went with 16x8 TT2
using 235 x16x60 Tires, good fit no rubbing.
It is sitting high in the pictures, no Interior,
glass and a bunch of other heavy stuff misisng. 69VETT
I have 255/50/17 front nitto 555
275/40/18 rear nitto 555
Had to reloacte rear Em brake bracket to clear tire but no rub anywhere. The rims are MB OldSchool from Discount Tire.
I was thinking about Torque Thrust 2's, but then I saw some of the newer wheels that have a smoother lip between the bead and spokes. The Torque Thrust 2's have more edges compared to the 4 wheels I was choosing from in this thread:
I wanted 18" wheels because of the large variety of tires to choose from. The tire selection for 15" and 16" wheels is quite limited. There are a few more choices for 17" wheels but not many.
I chose the BOSS 338's but with gray spokes and polished lip instead of chrome for more of a muscle look:
