Air Cleaner Problem
i just put a torquer 2 intake with a holley 750 carb on my 74 with a 454.. the hood does still close... but..... i put a little grease on the top of the edelbrock filter and the hood sets right on top of the filter and barely presses it down... i have heard of a lower profile air cleaner i can get for this. is this true?? does anyone have one or some pics of this.. im trying not to get into a new hood and paint job right now thats why i went with the torquer 2 manifold... it said it would work with my application. but now with the hood closed my car is starving for air...

I think that you'll find the stock LT-1 or LS-6 air cleaner will give you plenty of hood clearance.
If you have a double pumper carb, you will need to clearance the air tube that provides filtered air into the valve cover for the PCV system.
