Default zZ4 and temp gauge

Installed new zz4 the orginal temp gauge does not fit
The port on the zz4 is to small for the sending unit
Is there a different sending unit that will work with the orginal gauge
Part numbers would help
THANKS

I think a temperature sender for a 1982 Corvette will fit that port just fine and should work with your stock gauge.

BTW - how close are you to Louisville? I make it into Louisville a few times a year, and am gathering a list of guys to contact next time so we can arrange a good size meet and greet, with Vettes, food, and drinks.

I moved the sensor over to the port by the rad connection on the intake. Your wiring will also be long enough to reach it. Apparently the one that fits the '82 is not calibrated correctly for the older gauges.

Yep, 75 and later have 280 degree temp gauges. The 78 up sending unit should work fine.
