GM of Canada Documentation

I am considering purchasing a car that I suspect might have started life in Canada and I have seen folks on the forum say that GM of Canada has records for Chevrolet that are similar to Pontiacs PHS. If so, where do you contact these people?
Also did cars that were built in the US prior to 1975 and shipped to Canada have gauges that were metric? Specifically Corvettes and Camaros

Someone else will give George Zapora's? address for the documentation, but the first metric speedomter (kilometers dominant) in the Vette for Canada export was 1978.

I have a 76 that has many original parts made in Canada on it. Don't know what year this started.

I got that kit 10 years ago when I bought an 80 and it was $45.00 and it had good info ,I believe it came from Oshawa,ont. Ron
