intake heat solution?
Awhile back, someone mentioned painting the bottom of an intake to stop the heat. I could not find the original post. What kind of paint should I use and what kind of special prep should I do on an aluminum intake? Thank you.

No idea about paint, but there are several different heat shields that go in the valley below the intake. Or get some tin and make one. All it's got to do is snap in under the intake to keep hot oil off. If you're going to do that, make sure to block the heat crossover if your intake has one. No sense in closing the door and leaving the horse outside.
