Are you referring to the Hyd. Roller CS 286 H-R10 ?...This is the cam I ran in my '69 w/383. I was very satisfied as it is very streetable, idles @ 850 rpm, with around 13" of vacuum. Good power from 2500 to 6500 rpm. With 4.10 gears and 2900 stall, the car ran mid 11's. in 1/4.
(See sig for info)

I'd have to check my paper work but that might be the cam in my 355. Dyno'ed at 375 HP. Not too shabby.

For what it's worth I have the CS 282S-10 solid and it screams to 6000 with plenty of torque.

I'm running the 286 in my 383 as well. I'm getting 12" of vacuum @ 700rpm idling, enough for the headlights and brake booster. Feeding this cam with a Holley 650, RPM Air-Gap, and Brodix IK200 heads, and making use of the power with a 200-R4 and 3:70 rear
And yep, I'm happy with it

Thanks all

I am currently running the solid flat tappet XS274S-10 and just not happy with the performance. Sounds like the 286 is the way to go.

Thanks again
