When I park my '82 with the nose uphill, even a slight incline in a parking lot, I can not get it to start. I have taken the air filters off and the jets do not send gas. I have had the fuel pump out and tested and it produces the correct pressure. Has anyone heard or experienced this and what could be a possible cause/cure?

Did you change the rubber connector on the fuel pump?
your not the only one, mine wil start but after a whyle of crankin it, and sometimes itll still die, I have no cure, I just thought my pump was going bad and getting weak
WV, I didn't replace the rubber tube, just had the pump tested and reinstalled as is. I have a new pump so will go ahead with that plan and see if it cures the problem.
I take it you have the original crossfire setup? Does it do it all the time, or just when its low on gas? I'm not sure if this pump even has a check valve (I would think it would), but its possible that it may have a bad check valve and the fuel is running back down the line into the tank. Electric pumps are good pushers, but terrible pullers. I had a similar problem with an inline pump on a carb application.

The rubber tube gets rotten and porous. This causes fuel to spill back into the tank when the fuel level is low. Sitting nose uphill probably exposes the tube more. Lots of them will run fine with a full tank but spit and sputter when it drops down to half of so. Common symptom.
Yes it still has the original Crossfire setup and will happen every time I park nose up except I do not recall experiencing it with a full tank, but it most recently happened with 3/4th of a tank. I pushed the car to a nose down position, gave it 10 mins and it started right up.
Presently it runs fine with less than 1/4 tank, no sputtering but this current issue could be an indication of things to come with less than 1/2 a tank. I will pull the pump this weekend and at the very least replace the tube.

Thanks so much for the help.
It could be that rubber tube mentioned. Its pretty high up in the fuel pump assemble in the tank. Try it at a gas station with a quarter tank....nose up. If it does it. Fill the rest of the tank see if it solves it.
The assemble is like having a straw in a full glass of water. Assume there is a break at the mid point of the straw. You won't get any water when the level drops below the break. But in this case the pump is below the hose and pushes upwards. Eventually the car will get gas so it will eventually start.
If you listen carfully at the tank you may be able to hear it leaking if it is the hose.Normally you should hear the pump kick in for 2 seconds then nothing.

I went through the bad hose routine with my '84. Take a look at yours.
