I was going to ask a question about why would all the carbs appear to have fuel spitting up out of the stacks?

We tried everything with the ignitions. Another odd thing is that the plugs were dry and the exhaust did not smell like fuel fumes. It took about 4 hours to figure out. Ferrari V-12 with 6 two barrels and twin distributors, dual overhead cams. Just rebuilt with new heads and all fresh maybe $150K motor that we mounted on a dyno. In all my years of working on motors I never would have guessed this problem

any guesses?

Before you tear it down, have a go at feeding fuel into the tailpipe. How cool would it be if it started?

Of course, 5 speeds in reverse and 1 forward would make for a pretty lame racecar.

If you've ever seen a 2-cycle Detroit Diesel run backwards this one would be plain. (That's pretty exciting BTW) Starts burning the crankcase oil and goes like a McCullogh chain saw until it makes one loud very expensive noise.

But you could just get a front axle out of a 4x4 and put that in. Solve the direction of rotation problem.

Everything about this V-12 motor has been screwed up. The bare heads came from some Foundry in the Netherlands. Our shop owner borrowed some Ferrari headers from some out of state shop. You could not install the very specialized V-12 headers because the head studs did not line up. So instead of flying somebody in to build headers. We built header adapters for each of the 12 cylinders from 1 3/8th pipe and flange ends made at a local CNC water metal cutting facility.

The Netherlands shop told my boss "So Sorry!!!!!!!!!!! The machinist made those head exhaust stud locations 5mm and slightly rotated off on the blue prints. Just send them back and we will reweld and restud them
