Are you getting Fuel...with adequate pressure? Spark? Is the firing order correct? 93 LT1- That engine had an early optispark system I think. Is that what your using for ignition?
high presser fuel pump , new computer chip , have done any thing to the firing order , sent my wiring harrrness off and got it fixed and in stalled it as the paper work said too , the has not been start since first of jan. , should i try starting flud ?
I know the C4 uses a VATS system through the ignition key as an anti theft device. If it goes bad, the car will not start- was VATS eliminated from your new wiring?
Best thing I can tell you as far as long distance Troubleshooting is to get a FSM for the vehicle the engine/harness was removed from. Start by diagnosing Hard/No start condition.
TPI? TBI? SFI?
Batt voltage?
Fuel Pressure? what psi?
power to coil? output from coil?
Output from distributor?
correct firing order?
I could go on .....
If you dont have access to a FSM run down to the local library & if they have a online database you can go to Mitchell on line and
troubleshoot it.
I recall having to check for voltage and resistances at the Ignition module. The one under the coil.
Might want to try to checking for codes
I know the F bodies have what is called the optispark installed and it is a high failure item. You may want to see if your engine has one installed. To learn more about the optispark shoot over to LS1.com and do a search. My F body [2001formula] doesnt have it but the earlier ones did.
