Default Almost there - muffler thoughts

I am purchasing new mufflers in the next two weeks. I have asked many of you for your thoughts and it appears as if I am moving towards Magnaflow.

I have one final option to explore first. Has anyone installed the twin tip mufflers offered by Mid America Motorworks? If so, is it a direct bolt-on to a 1980? How do they sound?

Thanks.

Hey man, I have magnaflows on a mustang. They sound great. I'm in the same boat tho. I want new exhaust on my vette and don't know what to try. Let me know what you get and how you like them.

I put the $189 Magnaflow kit (form Cor. Central) on yesterday on my '82.

It was a direct bolt in and took about 2 hours to complete - mostly cutting and coercing the old connections to come apart. It sounds very nice - mostly smooth, fairly quite with a deep undertone. I still have cat and stock manifolds though. I'm going to gut the cat next. I like the kit though and for price and ease of doing at home w/o welding it was great.
