L82shark, had the glove box out of my 78SA troubleshooting the low fuel module. Took this pic to show all the wires and connectors going to the delay. That one connector in the middle has TWO white wires in and ONE white/black out.
That is EXACTLY the pic I needed. Now I have found all the lost wires!
L82Shark, almost PM'd/emailed you when this came online today but ran out of time. Glad that you found it and got the $25 vs $80 deal, with the added pics as the icing on the cake.

And I believe it shows the tape which was used to secure it to the wiring harness.
ok, finally got to put it all back together today. Got the timer from Willcox and a new courtesy light harness from Corvette America. Along with the glovebox switch and light. Disconnected all the old burnt wires and hooked the new ones in and it works!
No more burnt wires under the dash - for now!
How long is it supposed to stay on? I thought it was for thirty seconds but it stayed on for a little over a minute and then went out. Is that about right?

Do you have the schematic handy? Of course my '75 didn't have a timer but I built one with a couple relays and a capacitor. I additionally had a 2001 Lincoln rear view mirror with map/autodimming/compass in the car. Needed a high signal to the mirror to make the map lights come on with the courtesy circuit and just figured it would be easy enough to do the timed delay while I was at it. Didn't know the functioning of the later C3 timer or I might have wired one in and modded it for the map lights, if in fact it didn't already have circuits for that.
