Garagedweller,
Welcome to this forum. I have read all your posts and you have a lot of guts admitting a mistake and that is hard to do. You've done something that many adults 2 and 3 times your age can't do. You are in a great place if you want a Corvette some day. Stay here, read, learn, ask questions and pick up all the knowledge you can. There are lots of great people here who will help you any way they can. If you want something bad enough you have to want it, think it, live it , read about it and just immerse yourself in the idea and you will find it will happen. Believe me, many of us have been in the same situation as you and it all comes together if you work at it.
I think some day in the future I will see you posting on this forum and see a picture of your Corvette and say "That's the 13 year old kid with the dream who finally got what he wanted" Hang in there, you're in the right place.
Looks like this site too will be going to "AGE VERIFICATION" in the future. Just kidding!!! Great to see a young person more interested in Corvettes than Hondas or Mitpoopiesubishis :U
The secret to knowledge is an open mind. The secret to wisdom is discretion.
You are young, and you will master both in time. Welcome to the forum.

A few years ago a guy showed up on Vettechat talking smack about his new Vette and also claimed to be connected to the factory. His posts made it obvious that he was full of it (and there were some real plant people there at the time) so he got seriously roasted and toasted. Unlike the usual trolls and vandals that visit sites just do damage, everyone realized that this kid was there because he loved Vettes. Instead of banishing him, we welcomed him to join us, provided that he be honest with us and cut the bs. The end result is a young man that all those on the chat were/are very proud of. This person is still very much involved in Corvettes and many Vette owners have met him as a result of his involvement. This person is also a regular on this forum but I don't wish to embarrass him so I won't reveal his identlty.
Garage dweller, welcome! Don't worry about being a kid either ... most of us are kids too, just older ones :)
