Default Help! Parking brake

I have a 79 that I just had the left rear control arm rebuilt. I assembled everything and when I test drove it I hear the parking brake shoes hitting the inside of the rotor. The rotor went on easily on to the hub, what adjustmaents to I need to do? Car show today and I want to drive it. Please call me at 512-771-9964 if this email is not clear.

Thanks

I had to have the drum portion of the rear rotors cut deeper and larger in dia. to get mine to go on right. And yes they were new, out of the box.
Good luck!

When you say hitting, do you hear parts banging around or does it sound like the show is just dragging. Take the wheel off. Spin the rotor till one of the large holes in it is at the bottom. you should be able to see the adjuster in there. You can you a screw driver to tighten or loosen it.
