Will oil pan fit?
I'm considering installing a GM 350/290 crate motor in my 72 in order to preserve the matching # L48. Will the oil pan included with the crate motor clear the steering linkage (with power steering)?

I know it's more $ ... but GM base 350 HO/330hp p/n 12486041 is much much more motor (roller cam ready block w/ vortec heads) for around $1000 more total outlay.
heck ... here's a 350 L31 w/ roller cam & vortecs just as in 96-00 chev pickups goodwrench p/n 12530282 for about $2100. Note: makes about 250 hp with its wimpy OE roller and it has no mechanical fuel pump provision. Real good motor though with a super warranty!
