Yes, the brake pedel should cut power to the convertor but as soon as you let off it will ock back up.
I don't like that because some times I haven't slowed down enough for the trans to downshift on its own yet enough that the motor starts to lugg, like 30-35 mph. so I end up having to manually downshift.
I would like to give one of these a try, it will automatically unlock the convertor under 40mph: B&M controller
Glad to know I got it right didn't want to do any more hesd stands under the dash, Redwing I think I read where you mentioned the B&M before I looked at it sounds like good system but my CC transducer is broken inside so my speedo doesn't work I am trying to find a unit local before I send off.
