bleeding brakes - need quick help

The last time I bled Corvette brakes, I didn't get any pedal pressure until I had bled 3 out of the 4 calipers. I actually used a vacuum bleeder first, but didn't get any pedal pressure as they won't get all of the air out of the calipers. When bleeding the traditional way, I tapped to the calipers lightly with a mallet to bring any trapped air bubbles to the bleeder valve. Like Rich says, "Pump,pump,pump...hold foot on brake....open bleeder...close bleeder...pump,pump...hold...open bleeder.....close bleeder...pump,pump again...."
