68 corvette fusebox?
I have converted my 68 corvette to hei distributor and the wire that goes to fuse box is smoking. I have taken apart the fusebox trying to trace wire back,but it seems like you can't unplug the electrical plugs on the firewall. Can anyone suggest best way to repair. Frustrated!!

You can unplug the lamp harness and the engine harness from the firewall. These two clip together side by side and are bolted to the connector at the firewall. Just take the bolt out and pull them out. The backside of the fuse box serves as the connector that the lamp and engine harness plug into.
