Default Replacement Shocks for 69

I am restoring a 69 and was wondering if the type of replacement shocks I go with makes much of a difference. I am more interested in a smoother ride than performance. Any recommendations or advice from the forum?

My '69 has Delco shocks. Same as it originally had and gives a good balance between ride and performance. Other shocks like, Koni, Bilstein, and Edelbrock are more performance oriented, though some might be adjustable, but that costs.

For what you say you want, go with Delco.

Put delco shocks on my 69 a few months ago. Painted them gray to be period correct and have never looked back. The price is right, easily to obtain and my rear doesn't know the difference

Exactly what I did. You will be amazed at how much better your car will feel and handle when you put in gas shocks.

Interestingly enough, my shocks were original when I got my car and they were dark blue! It's the F-41 suspension and they are the same blue they used on the old inline six engines. Odd...
