Default Flame Arrestor & 70 Front grill Question

Gentlemen,
Just received a new air cleaner base with a new flame arrestor. I've read in the archives that the flame arrestor is pressed on to the tube on the base air cleaner and I tried to do so but backed off before I got to rough with it. Am I heading in the right direction or do I need to have it pressed on at a shop.
Also in the achrives I read that the 1970 factory grills (early) do not have the screws in the lower chrome piece and the late 70 will start to see the screw style and then on into 71& 72.
I'm not sure what I'm to look for so would any one send up a picture, either with or with out so I can see the difference.
Thanks in advance.

Default 70 grilles

I have a original owner 70 that was built in Jul of 70 and it came without screw holes in the lower horizontal chome of the grille. The original grilles had studs that went through the fiberglass and secured the grilles with a attached nut so the front of the grille lower horizontal piece is smooth. Unlike the later grilles that do not have the studs made as part of the grilles, but have holes to put chrome phillips head screws.

Thanks for the info. I see the difference now. I went to ebay and looked at the front grills and saw the screws in the lower horizontal chrome piece on the left & right sides. My car dont have the screw holes which makes it correct for a january 22 car, I think.
As far as the flame arrestor I fixed it also with a bigger hammer.
Thanks, again.
