HAVE A SET OF HEADS 3994O26 date E 30 71

What can you tell me about them. I plan on installing them on a 74 454 with headers and side pipes and a
LS6 intake with a q jet. what hp will I gain.

well here is whats starting to happen

Yea they are 71 they are the ones that were used for the 425 +hp I also have hooker headers and side pipes " and will be installing a lS6 cam with solids using a org LS6 intake. with a anvenger carb.
the heads are at the shop for rebuild and I will be
painting the pipes as soon as I deside on what to
use on them any suggestions??????


I feel like I am talking to my self.... anybody out there?

I have the following information on those heads:

71 Production Year. Rectangular Port, Open Chamber Heads

Chamber Volume = 118 cc
Intake Valve = 2.19
Exhaust Vavle = 1.88
Last Square Port Production Head

You listed 2 carburetors. I don't think the quadrajet will work. The LS6 intake is drilled for a square bore carb.

Since those are prduction heads, they would be worth a good deal to someone restoring a 71 BB and needing them, if they haven't been cut.

Yes they are real sought after. And I now know that I will be using a avenger holly carb.
The hp should really supprise me.
