I need to adjust The two door windows.There are electric. I need to get them to close when rolled up. I get water leaks and wind noise. Can any one tell me how to adjust them, Or does anyone know of a good Manual that tells how to adjust them.
When the windows are up they close ok. With the doors closed they will not close all the way and seal. Will changeing window motors help any ? I thinking these are orignal and they may be worn out.
Any help we be greatly appricheted.

"a1sensei" is right, you need a factory shop manual. While adjusting the door glass on my 79 after installing new regulators I read that the factory adjusted the glass during initial build by having the auto worker inside the vehicle prior to seat installation with a suction cup. Using the suction cup the worker would place the glass in position and tighten all the adjusting points at one time from inside the vehicle.
Get the GM Service Manual. Every older Vette owner needs one. It details how to adjust windows, and every thing else. God bless, Sensei
Hello;
You posted a message to my question on how to adjust door windows. Could you tell me the service manual you have. I've sent for manuals but every one I get does not get into adjusting windows. Could you tell me where I can get a service manual . If you ordered yours where did you get it. I have about 10 books but not what I need . Thank You, Maurice

I've had this problem with mine ever since we took the window completely out to tighten the rearview mirror. What you need to do is take out all of the door panel screws (3 in the Armrest, 1 in the handle, 1 up by the top edge of the door, 1 behind the pocket, and 1 toward the back in the middle), then lift off the door panel. Once you hace done this, you will see the adjustment screws at the top of the door. Now, just grab a wrench and start tweaking it...I just spend a little time and roll my window up and down a bunch of times, adjusting little by little, until I finally get it where i want it. Good Luck!!!
