Default Cut wires, color code help please.

Okay, the main harness coming out into the engine bay has issues. There were a total of five wires clipped and tucked back into the tape. I have NO idea what these are, and need help from someone that has wiring diagrams from a 1974 Vette, with A/C, auto, and previously owned by a Bubba.

I need to know what these wire colors are. These are in the main harness that run behind the wiper motor.

Light Green (Heavy Gauge)
Orange
Pink
Dark Blue
White

The car was previously running, so these wires don't seem to have much to do with normal operation, but I want to determine their original function before I trim and loom over them.

If I can determine that one or more might actually be needed to correct something I can re-wire it to include that specific color.

Thanks,

I'd advise getting Dr Rebuild's color coded diagram thst also includes pictures of the connectors. Also, there's a forum member, Don Olson, who sells a nice color coded diagram also.

Maybe you should consider buying a new engine harness. They aren't too expensive and with the possible exception of the firewall connector are easy to install. Since you harness has been buggerized, this would get rid of any grimlins that might be lurking and also the harness looks nice.

On my 68 the connector is very hard to get to. On the 70, the removal outside louver panel (behind the front wheels) makes access to the connector a lot easier.
