I'm told tubular upper and lower control arms will be 1) easier to adjust 2)will give 5 deg. more camber and better handling 3) stronger
I have a 77 and would like anyones experience/advice on brands or performance. Thanks guys!
The offset arms do offer a 5° positive caster. The lowers are only used with a transvers spring I believe.
Fixed. Caster is the setback on the upper portion of the front wheels, more positive leads to better high speed stability, but with increased steering effort at lower speeds. That can be off-set with a different ratio steering box for a kickass handling machine
You can also do the stock arms with offset shafts, and one of the old Chevy Power Manuals has the directions to redrill the bolt holes for the upper mounts to gain more adjustment. Just depends on how much cash you have to play with..
