Oil pump pickup removal
I got a new moroso pan and pickup for the 502 and can't seem to get the old pickup off the pump. I guess these are interference fit but I guess I am running into a little excess interference. Any tricks. Thanks.

If it's not welded you can try heating the pump housing with a propane torch a little. I saw one once that had used red Loctite to hold it in place.Tight!!
Heating the housing and a little hammer tapping and twisting should get it out.
You might want to remove the pump spring. Everyone always says to do this, but i've never had to get one hot enough to have it become an issue.
