Default jet hot sidepipes question

I'm looking at jet hot sidepipes with the stirling finish. Does anyone have pictures and can post them here.

Also : i would need to mount a O2 sensor in them. Can a bung be welded to them ?

Do that before having the ceramic coating done. While not under the Jet Hot name, I'm sure there are powder coating companies in your part of the world that can do the shiny silver ceramic coating.

might be so, but I suppose the pipes come in in black finish and have to be blasted to get them clean. I suppose that would ruin the finish....

Check with JetHot on the bung. I think I remember reading on the Hooker website that you could get the headers with or w/o O2 setup.

Depends on where they mount the bung. We have this chassisrail running there which makes everything a close fit.

Also doesn't the coating make the collector and pipe fit bad (thight...)?

It was a bit tight the first time I put the pipe on, with all the anti-seize and a little wiggle it goes on just fine now. After I started it and it got good and hot the first time, the excess anti-seize dripped off and made a mess on my Quik-Lift, had to wipe it up. That was the only problem I had.

O2 sensor placement would be tough IMHO, figuring out the optimal spot and then making sure the frame didn't interfere.

I drilled a hole to anchor the STS baffles with not problem, but welding a bung would be a different thing. Do they have a bolt-in bung?? If not you'd hve to get the sensor placement, then weld the bung in, then get them coated.

Had jet-hot do a set of BB headers for me. For the record, they were definitely not perfect before I handed them over but 4 years later- rust has spawned its ugly head. Interpert this as you may- either the coating gave me 4 extra years or the coating is only good for 4 years. The headers were used, dented on the bottom, but soild at the time.
