I agree with MikeC. These lines are availabe form many sources in both steel and SS. If GM thought they could get by with one flex line rather than a steel line and a flex line, they would have done it. There are too many moving parts in this area to be fooling around.

I've just ordered a set of the braided stainless steel "Aeroquip" style flex lines (so they should be here around late Jan!). If it is possible for them to flap about I was going to use cable ties to secure them out of the way of the wheel. The main reason for fitting them is so that I can remove the caliper from the rotor without having to disconnect the brake pipes & have to bleed it all after fitting it back on (planned lazyness!).
