If the highs are working, the indicator light is burned out or the wire is broken. Also a possibility is that the socket has just become dislodged from the dash, check to see if you have a light behind the dash with the highs on.
Possibly the switch.

Check the rod that goes into the switch from the steering column. It cost me a full blown restro. Them damn "while I'm at its". The funny thing is that I should be able to drive it this week, and I'm still waiting on parts for the steering column.
