Default sway bar bushing question

need to replace mine on a 1979. anyone have pics or procedures I can learn from?? Thanks!

Front? Piece of cake. 2 bolts per side and a rubber bushing that slips over the sta-bar. The worst thing you could run into would be rusted bolts that shear off as you try to loosen them.

It's a very straightforward replacement. Depending on what you put in, th new bushings could come with new brackets (Energy usually provides them with their poly bushings)

what is the best position for the car to be in to install? on ramps, jack stands? or just on the ground?

You want to place jack stands under the lower control arms (near wear you can see the bottom of the shocks). Unbolt the bushings one at a time and replace the sameway they came out. Do not tighten until both are replaced then tighten until you see the bushing start to compress
