Strut rod bushing retainer Q
How many of these do I need:

Seems I'd need eight,..2 for each end of the two rods. Paragon seems to believe I need four according to their catalog.
Thanks!

I decided to take mine off this morning to see and I only had one on the drivers side and it was flat side to the strut, probably to take up the space from the missing one.
Must have been like that for a long time as the bolts were a pita to get off.
What exactly is the purpose if only on one end?
Would a flat stainless washer work the same?
Thanks

I don't know why simple flat washers wouldn't work. And good question. If the retainers were a good idea on the inboard side, why not the outboard side?
I presume they're needed to protect the exposed portion of the rubber bushings.

I will order all 4 new ones as they are only a few bucks a set.
Thanks

Those parts are actually reducers. Both ends of the strut rods are 5/8 in. ID. The adjustable bolt/ washer combo is 1/2 in. (Diff. end) They take up the slop between the two.
You will need 4 pieces total. (2 sets)
