tach i need help
i just put a new circut board in my tach and the neddel is starting out on 20 how do you move the neddel to zero

Did you get instructions with the circuit board and follow them? What year is the car? It makes a diff

Those tachs will sit at the RPM where you shut the car off. Don't expect it to go to zero. If it functions fine while running than it's OK. Now if never goes below 20 than there is definetly something wrong.

yes i followed the instructions it is a 1975
the tach opperates fine but it will not go below 2000rpms
when i put the key in the ignition it will go to two grand like it is zero

did you buy it from ebay
that alone could be the problem
seriously, They are calibrated for all apps.
it sounds like yours is just defective
all that i have driven go up to 15 after you turn the eng off
they go back to idle when you start you car

Yes, that is how I calibrated mine.
Mine came with instructions on how the do it, I don't remember all of it, but basically you remove the needle (carefully), supply + and - to the tach, then put the needle back on at zero.

thank you so much i got the neddel off pluged it in then pluged it back into the car then put the neddel back on works grate once again thank you
