I just received my PS control valve from ZIP and to my surprise I have to adjust it. Can someone tell me how to do this? First of all, where is the adjusting screw, is it behind the end cap?
thanks.

Refer to the service manual After you have it installed, front wheels in the air, the power assist ram disconnected from the bracket, (make sure the hoses are crossed correctly), you remove the cap to gain access to the adjusting nut. Start the car and slowly cycle the steering wheel back and forth to remove the air. Then you adjust the nut so the power assist ram rod is neutral, you do not want it to move as you adjust the nut.
maybe ya'll can help me, after putting my car back together the steering is very stiff. smooth but not like regular power steering. what should I be looking for? no new parts just cleaned.

Is it fully bled? It can take quite a bit to get all the air out. Suggest you put the front wheels in the air and rotate the sterring wheel lock to lock 10 times with the engine off. Start the engine and do the same thing 10 times. Then test drive again.
Be advised that C3 Corvette power steering was not nearly as overboosted as other GM cars from the same era- if you're comparing your car's level of power assist to larger cars it's going to feel like a LOT less, which it is.
