Default Another Blown CTS

Blown another sensor. Somethings going on. Code 15 again. I checked the connector again, and it checks out ok both hot & cold. Ohm out the sensor, and I'm getting 2.8meg ohms. Pretty much open. I have even hooked up 2 ECM's!

Is there a major difference in quality of these sensors? The last 2 have come from Autozone. I have no clue in what to do next. I have traced wires, checked grounds, & drank plenty of beer while scratching my head.

Help

I am not sure of which sensor you are talking about but as much as I used to like buying parts from Autozone now a days If I have to buy overhauled parts I have been shopping at my local Oreillys. I dont know if they are where you live but I have had the best of luck with their parts and they do match Autozone's prices.

The coolant temp sensor tells the ECM when the car is hot or cold, to allow for fuel mixture and air control. It is located in the front of the intake just below the thermostat housing. The Durolast product was made in Mexico. I usually get most of my parts from O'reillys, but I had used some of AZ loaner tools, and picked it up while I was there.

Thanks

It's the 2 wire type.

I found the problem. The CTS plug holes were larger than the sensor pins. The CTS was never making contact to operate properly.

It's always the little things!
