Default Blackrat Update. 5-peed in. Progress should speed up.

Happy memorial day all!!!

Progress has been slower that I thought it would be but I have been doing family stuff so can't complain. I think the hard parts are over. Motor is in. Motor mounts are tight. Trannie is in and bolted up. That passenger side top trans bolt was a PITA!!! Everything left should be simple bolt on. Hope the use of the word "simple" doesn't jinks me!!!

Thanks Richard (Keisler). Hooking the clutch linkage up and having the wife push in the pedal helped send the trans the last 1\2 inch into the pilot bearing.

Good news!! Looks like you are doing pretty well. I don't remember your car being an automatic. Did you cut the crossmember out? Keep the updates coming. Looking forward to hearing more about your progress. I logged in today and was looking for your updates.

Thanks Eddie. My car was origionally a SB auto The origional motor and trans was long gone when I got it and it had an Autozone crate 350 and a 400TH in it. When I made the engine swap I went ahead and did the transmission as well and was running an old M20. I can definately see where the welded in cross member would make this swap a little more difficult. I just went out and bolted the cross member back in so that part is done now.

Glad I could help. I knew my cell number would come in handy for you. Glad you utilised it instead of just trying to fight it on your own.
