Default TCS jumper harness connector

I replaced my engine harness this weekend, fairly straight forward. My question is concerning the tcs jumper harness connector. This is the female connector on the harness with a wire that is black with a pink strip (there is also a black wire with a pink strip with a male connector). Is this female connector hooked up to anything? If so what?

Thanks,

It's been a long while since I disconnected my TCS on my 74. I'm assuming you are going for originality. If I remember correctly there was a connection at the transmission that only allowed spark advance in 4th gear and a connection to a solenoid on the intake that allowed vacuum to the distributor. As I said its been quite a while since I disabled this feature so my memory may be flaky, but take a look at the AIM or repair manual because I believe those are the two areas in question. The other thing I can remember is there was a vacuum port on the intake that only opened up after the engine reached operating temperature. This connection had a vacuum port that went to the carb and the other side went to the TCS system. So the end result was that the only time you had spark advance was when the engine was fully warmed up and you were in 4th gear. Not a great performance situation and the reason I disconnected it. Good luck.

I'm not going to be hooking the TCS solenoid back up. I'm only wondering about this "extra" wire (black with pink stripe, female connector). Does it go anywhere? The black with pink stripe w/male connector goes to the TCS relay, both terminate on the same terminal on the firewall junction. I checked the AIM and the wiring diagram and cannot tell.

If you don't get an answer by tonight I will check my wiring as soon as I get home. It's been too long for me to recall from memory, sorry. But I have DocRebuild and Olsen's diagrams and they show everything very nicely.

IIRC it goes to the transmission. TCS only works in certain gears. The single wire w/ connector tell the solinoid what gear your in....I think.

There are 2-black w/ pink stripes. They go to the TCS relay...
There is a connector w/ 2 black wires and 1 blue wire. It goes to the solenoid on the intake
There is a single black wire with a ronded black end...goes to transmission.

The 2 blacks w/ pink stripes are in picture 1...view 'A'

Sully,
It looks like your close enough to come over and have a look see (I'm in Rogers). I should get that Dr.Rebuild laminated schematic; looks very nice. I'll look for your response on Wednesday.

Thanks in advance,

My practice is in Bentonville so I am just a few miles away. If you want I can bring up my diagrams for you to see in person sometime this week and let you take a look. I'd love to see both your stingrays in person. Especially that FI 65!
