Two of the screws holding this cast piece onto the windshiled frame are at the front of the frame and you may have a difficult if not impossible time getting these out with the windshield installed. My windshield was out when I did it so I can't say for certain. At a minimum, you will be at a significant agle when approaching the screw. Be advised, it only takes a small chip/crack on the edge of the windshiled to create a nice, full length crack that magically appears an hour later. Ask me how I know.

Good luck.

I forced the first one out only to find there are more screws just above the windshield. I wanted to reuse them now is broken. So don't force them they break easily clean the area above the windshield to find the screws.

When you get them off one depending on what look you want then can be refinished or in my case I sanded all the pits down and had them powdercoated. Just an option and was cheap.
