Default Getting started/very dumb question

I just traded my truck for a 74 and I couldn't be happier. It needs some work but the information I've got from this forum has been very helpful and I appreciate it. The speedo, tach, and odometer are dead and I need to get up underneath the car. This seems dumb but I can't figure out where to place the jack to lift up the driver's side. There's a crossbar right in the center but it is just lifting the body up and the last thing I want to do is put a lot of stress on the fiberglass. Where are the jack lugs on this car? I've got a shop manual coming in the mail but until it gets here, y'all will be my only source of information. Thanks in advance!

There should be a point just behind the wheel guard. Should be clear as day if you can get your head under there to look.

Bulldog6,
Place jack 2" forward of rear door edge for rear wheel, and 5" forward
of front door edge for front wheel. Check jack compartment for jacking
instruction.

No one else mentioned it so I will. Olny put the jack under the frame rails on either side. You can lift the frone end from under the crossmember but be careful, you can dent the bottom of the crossmember, looks like hell but won't hurt anything. You can also lift the rear end from under the differential.

Default Where to start

Thanks, fellas. Jack point was right where it was supposed to be. I'm working in a carport back in the woods so it's difficult to see up under the car even in daylight. I need to hook up the speedo, tach, and odometer, tighten up the steering, and figure out if the air conditioner is all there. But first, the needle on my oil pressure gauge goes from 80-40-spiked especially when I downshift. It's like there is a blown gasket somewhere but there's nothing leaking. The engine temp is also also getting up just over 200. Anything to worry about? Thanks.
