I just saw a 73 with so much rust under the T-tops that the metal has become a flake sandwich. It's primarily in the crossbar between the T-tops and the rear window. Sorry, I didn't get pics.
What kind of issue is this? Is it a drop-in replacement part (well, push up into place)? Or is it a saw the roof off and build another one kinda deal?
It can be cut out and repaired with new metal but it's a cut and weld kind o0f affair. That cross bar is part of the bird cage, which is the metal structure that makes up the cabin of the Corvette. You can't just unbolt part of it, it has to be cut out and a new structure welded in.
It's primarily in the crossbar between the T-tops and the rear window.
If the cross bar is the only problem then V-twin is right, but if you have to replace material around the frame behind it...you can look forward to some cutting. It just depends on what you mean by primarily.
Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to getting more experience - I think you guys might have jumped on it, but for me it was just too big a job first time out.
