Default Check Your DEMON Carefully

I have had my Demon 750 annular for about a month. I was trying to determine why I wasn't getting any vacuum advance. After I confirmed the can was working, I put a gauge on them and they weren't pulling any vacuum with the motor running. I used a vacuum pump and one held vacuum and the other built up and released vacuum very slowly. I removed the carb and visually checked the passages for blockage. Well, one wasn't completely drilled through and the other was clogged with the sealant they use to seal the tube to the throttle plate. I drilled them both out and all is well. I guess the moral is don't take for granted a new part, especially a DEMON is fully functional.

My holley SA 770 had a large metal shaving still attached but hanging at the throttle body just waiting to get sucked into the motor at anytime. Im glad I found it before install but probably would have went through motor without issue but you never know. I look over very carefully before I attach any part to my motor. The quality really stinks sometimes on stuff you buy these days. Glad you were able to fix without sending back and waiting for another.

This has been a common reported problem with Demons, debris and undrilled holes.
