Buying a 7 leaf spring privately, does this sound right?
The seller says the spring is new.
He also says it is painted.
Do new leaf springs come painted?
I thought they came bare metal.
Any info appreciated.

Stock springs were usually dip painted. Most of the aftermarket springs are painted for appearance purposes. Seller is probably telling you the truth.
