Do those plating kits work?
The ones from places like Ecklers that do zinc, chromate, and black oxide coating? Kit comes with a coupla jugs of 'stuff' and some electrodes. I would like to plate some bolts that are still good, just a bit dirty. Any one try one of these kits?

Yeah. I just went through this too. I bought the zinc plating kit from Eastwood. It works great. My only complaint is that the plating goes on kind of dull. You have to polish it with the polish they supply and it shines right up. You wouldn't believe how nice my hood support and latches came out using this stuff. They look brand new now!!! They looked like crap before. I also bought the black zinc phosphating kit but I haven't used it yet.

How much are those kits and where can you get them?
I havent found anything like this in the latest Ecklers catalogues.....
